Sirens Review! (A micro game for 2 players)
I'm glad you both enjoyed the game so much! Thanks for the review!
Glad you're looking forward to Harvest!
Absolutely! Thanks for making such a fun game!
Thanks for the awesome review! 😊
Absolutely! We had a blast playing. :)
Great list! Thank you for including Gnome Hollow!
Thanks! Looking forward to getting a chance to play it soon. And seeing everyone at the booth!
Awesome video, great work!
Thanks!
Great review. Picked it up on Free RPG Day on a lark and glad I did. the p6 is awesome. keep it in my workbag and it's great to just play on lunch or waiting for a meeting to start :) Keep up the great work.
I love that. A little mini game on a lunch break, and you can just flip it closed and you are back in action. Very cool!
We had no crossover! Great list, though, I am interested in a bunch of these. And I'm glad Scois coming back! Oh, and if you make it to the Restoration games booth, make sure you say hi to Missy!
We'll be sure to stop by for sure, and hopefully we'll be able to bump into you at an event as well!
@@RyanandBethany hm. That was supposed to say Scoville! 😅🌶
Another great video, can't wait to see you there and give you hugs and high fives.
Heck yeah! See you soon!
I will look for you there!!!
Hunt us down! We'd love to say hi. :)
WOW! It's amazing to listen to your review. Your are totally right, it was made to be played in a family. So true kids LOVE stickers! :D
Thanks! It was such a good time, and we really enjoyed it. :)
Glad Everything Ever made your list!!!
Absolutely! What a fun game. We have been introducing it to a ton of people and it's always a hit.
Love that P6. This game looks pretty cool.
We're bringing for the kids in the backseat to Gen Con. lol. Perfect travel game.
Hi there! I would love to know what happens with the ‘Minor Omen’ card if you don’t defeat it. Is it still in play until someone completes it or is it discarded?
@@SamanthaSchi There is a text at the bottom that some kind of punishment for not being able to complete it, and then it goes into the Minor Omen discard pile.
@@RyanandBethany where does it go if it has a hint? 🤔
Ryan, I saw your epic beard featured on an episode of Boardgame breakfast from Dice Tower and said to myself, "I recognize that dude!" Popped over to your channel and I am happy to have found a local QC-an with a boardgame review channel. Keep up the good work guys!
Thanks sir! If you ever want to get a game night going or anything, let me know. We'd love to hang out. And get Kurt to play some more games. :)
This game is so fun. We tried it once at 4 players and it got a little wonky. I met my conditions really quick and everyone else kept fighting back and forth, but keeping mine valid. So, I passed for a bunch of turns in a row with nothing to do! Oh well, we stick with 2 players now and it's great!
Yeah, my experience with the 4 player game is mixed. But the 2 player has always been solid, even if it's been challenging.
I just picked this game up from an individuals sale. It was a last second pick up, since I am not a big fan of co-ops but it seems to have enough good things in it, almost Crew like? Thanks for the review.
@@AroundtheBoardShow Very cool! It definitely plays differently than many coops, and there is inherently no quarterbacking, which is nice. I hope you enjoy it!
I only buy Organic Air.
lol.
That seems so fun
It's hilarious! Even better with more people.
Loved the review! Thanks for playing!
Absolutely! Thanks for making such a fun game! I've loved sharing it with my family and game group.
This looks cool to me!
Yeah! I think this is an absolute family hit. The campaign was fun and simple to re-set for, and we cruised the missions because the kids never got sick of it.
Came across your channel while researching Space Battle Lunchtime card game and enjoyed the content! It was a bit older so I'm glad when I looked you guys up on UA-cam you were still making content! Subscribed and looking forward to watching this video as I'm the main rules teacher for our group and have been struggling recently to get a good flow as well as with people tuning out during longer teaches! :D (Also - you convinced me to pickup the space battle game :D)
That's awesome! I hope you enjoy Space Battle Lunchtime. We had a good time with it. Teaching games can be tough. People are very distracted and impatient and want to get right to the action. I hope the video helped, and after the rush of Gen Con dies down, I plan on making more content about this as well as some design videos (in addition to our reviews!). :)
I've played this a bunch on Board Game Arena. It's simple and fun, though I've mostly played it at two players.
Nice! I love BGA, but I haven't played this one on there yet. I'll have to get some games started!
Congrats on getting a game signed! I hope to one day!
Thank you very much! I have a lot more in the works, but I'm scared and nervous about the pitching part of the equation. I hope you get one of your projects signed as well!
Thanks for your review!
Absolutely! This is a great game!
agree with your review, love that game!
It's so good! We played a large game again with family over July 4th and everyone had a great time.
If you are polish, the exact length of this video is a meme (and a pretty mean one at that)
Oh, yikes! I just looked that up. Definitely didn't make that number appear on purpose. Thanks for the heads up.
I disagree, reading the rulebook is 50% of the fun for me 😁
Lol, it can be for me too as long as no one else is waiting on me to soak in all of the rules. It can be therapeutic in a way. :)
I usually feel terrible when I don't get all the important rules or strategies across and it makes me not want to teach games for a while, but at least I'm trying to teach them. We've had a miniatures games player who would try to teach games and just steamroll people because he just had to win; that's why Infinity never really took off around here.
Yikes, yeah that's definitely not the way to teach. But the fact that you've seen a bad teacher probably makes you a much better one! Keep up the good work teaching your group!
I admit, I'm the worst teacher! And I'm the one who always does it!
Sameee
lol. I bet you are better than you realize though. You have a ton of experience!
@@RyanandBethany I guess so. I'm just not great at explaining things!
@@RyanandBethany i recently dued inside a bit cause i was teaxhing Western Legends and... it was the worst excercise of "I will read you guys to sleep" lol. Game was awesome tho
I'm definitely the one who teaches games the most in our group. Second would probably be my brother. I have a question! Do you often teach games you haven't played yourself yet? I find myself doing that A LOT and find it very challenging and tend to try my best to play competitively (as best I can without ignoring the teach) because at that point we're essentially on the same playing field. Now that I'm writing this, I think I'd want to do a whole topic on this lol I'm going to reach out to y'all!
I agree, it's the hardest to teach games that you've just learned cold from the rulebook. But I'm looking forward to making our video! We both have a passion for teaching and spreading the joys of gaming. :)
@@RyanandBethany I'm looking forward to it too!!!
Ryan, when the heck are you gonna teach me a game?? I might actually win a game for once 😅 Bethany isn't allowed to play though because then I probably won't win 😝
Bethany is a force to be reckoned with. lol. Are you going to Gen Con?
@@RyanandBethany Oh I know, I remember from the lockdown days of playing with y'all! Heck yes I am!! I want to see you both!
My old flich deck uses 30 card pile. Unlimited play piles and5 discard piles.
Oh interesting! I love hearing about all of the variants that are out there. Very cool.
@@RyanandBethany No , the odl flinch game isn't a variante at all , it's a real game with the real rules of the original game .
Making ghosts is a much more murderous game.
Love the game, but hate how overpriced the second campaign was for new material
Yeah, that is a problem. The MSRP on all kinds of games is getting out of control.
Is your garden a part of your lawn or yard. If a garden is not a part of the lawn then a lawn can't be considered the yard. But simply one part of a yard.
Yes! That's exactly how it works.
I think this game is neat! It's not as good as Three Sisters, and oh boy do I struggle to read the street names. Still super fun to play!
Yeah, there is some fine print, for sure. But that's our take on the game as well. A good time, and a little easier to jump in on, but not quite as satisfying as Three Sisters. :)
Beth's art is great, and she is an amazing person, too.
We've never had the opportunity to meet her, but everyone who has says the exact same thing! We're definitely fans. :)
Thanks so much for covering the game!
Our pleasure!
Thanks so much for the great review Ryan and Bethany :)

Great timing! I've been contemplating picking this up soon! Thanks for the review!
It's truly excellent. I hope you guys get the chance to play it!
